I have taught English for three years in Seoul, South Korea to all ages of students, ranging from elementary school children to businessmen. I have worked as both a teacher and a tutor so I am familiar with both individual and group methods of teaching. I am confident in my ability to communicate effectively with students and find ways of articulating my thoughts, even across language barriers. I can teach grammar, phonics, reading, writing, listening comprehension, spelling, reading comprehension and vocabulary.

I am also a skilled test taker and can help with study tips. I have taken the GRE and SAT so I have a firm group on the verbal sections of both tests.

I have two degrees - English and Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. I graduated with highest honors and in the Psi Chi Honor Society.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ESL/ESOL

I have been an ESL teacher for three years in Seoul, South Korea. I have taught all ages and skill levels, from elementary school children to businessmen. I have tutored students one-on-one and in small groups. I also have an 80 hour TEFL certification.

Study Skills

I am a dedicated student myself and always have been. I have worked as a teacher for three years so I understand how different students learn and therefore need particular tips for study habits.
