My name is Siwei. I'm a University of Washington undergraduate. I'm a Junior and I major in Biology and Biochemistry. Also, I'm an international student from China.
I want to be a tutor because I enjoy teaching and sharing my study experience as well as skills with my students to help them learn better. I'm very strong in biological sciences and related fields such as math, physics, and chemistry since those are the bases of my major. I used to be a science and math tutor in China for a year before I got too busy with my SAT and TOFEL test. I tutored two middle-school students, both of which achieved great progress during our time working together.
Also, as Chinese, I speak, read, listen, write my mother language perfectly well. During the Chinese tutoring, I hope to enrich the language study with fun history stories or critical historical events to make the tutoring more fascinating. Because I believe the key in mastering a language is not by simply memorization but by understanding.
