To future students,
My name is Caroline and in 2011 I received a Master's in Teaching English as a Second Language from the New School in New York. I have six years' experience teaching international university students, scientists, immigrants and refugees through various organizations in the Seattle area, as well as privately. I enjoy students, the English language, and communication in general. I'm a Spanish student myself so I understand the beauty as well as the frustration of learning another language.
I've decided to pursue this career in order to help people better navigate the American culture and become more comfortable and active players in their communities. I teach largely what students want to learn, in a supportive, fun and constructive environment. It's important to me that students are motivated and creative in their own learning.
I'm a patient, curious and enthusiastic person. I love to learn about other countries and people; i have traveled extensively but there's always more to learn! I grew up in San Francisco, I've lived in Seattle for 20 years, and spent the last two summers in Brooklyn.
So ... if you are interested in dedicated time to learn more in a fun and personal way, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you and the best of luck,
Caroline
