I firmly believe that learning should be fun! I have been a software instructor since 1994 and am familiar with all the Microsoft Office products, having worked with them and taught them for various community colleges and software training companies. I have kept up with the latest versions and work with them on a daily basis, and am familiar with many of those little things that will make you a much more effective user of the software applications.
I am also an excellent math instructor, having worked for the Princeton Review as an instructor, preparing students for the math portion of the SAT. As a student teacher, I was instrumental in significantly increasing my students' test scores in Math. I also did my Action Research project on how to increase speed and accuracy in doing multiplication facts--the intervention was a success and I was chosen to present my research to the Professional Educators Advisory Board at City University of Seattle. I am certified to tutor students from elementary through high school up through geometry and Algebra 2 and also for SAT preparation in Math, Reading and Writing.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics, a Master's in Teaching, and a Washington State Teaching Certificate with an Endorsement in Elementary Education.
I have been teaching for almost two decades, and I have a passion for it. I look forward to working with you!
