I have been teaching InDesign for 4 years.
I have taught Adobe Photoshop for 17 years.
I am proficient in the following features of Photoshop:
Layers, Layer styles, filters, image correction and repair, Adjustments, Selections and compositing, Brushes and new brush engine, Vector tools, Bridge, Photoshop and Bridge automation; HDR and Photomerge.
Also excel at Lens correction, defining custom brushes and patterns, content aware scaling and content aware fill, transforms, image modes and adjustments/adjustment layers, smart objects, smart filters, creating actions, type effects, layer masks, 3d features of Photoshop, selection refinement, Kuler and workspace customization.
In short I am an advanced user of Photoshop and I am up-to-date with current version of the program.
In addition, I have two degrees in theater (BA - University of Portland, MA -University of Hawaii at Manoa) with emphasis on design. I also have an associates degree in Computer Animation and Multi-media from the Art Institute of Seattle.

I have taught traditional drawing courses at: The Art Institute of Seattle, The International Academy of Design and Technology in Tukwila, WA (IADT) and ITT Technical Institute - Seattle.
In addition I have taught traditional animation, creative design as-well-as both intro and advanced project creation courses.
I have worked in theater for 30+ years. My theater BA is from The University of Portland. My Theater MA is from The University of Hawai'i at Manoa where I studied and performed in Asian theater. In 1991 I was a participant in the Mainland China tour of the traditional Beijing opera YuTangchun (Jaded Hall of Spring). At both schools I focused on theatrical design.
I have extensive experience in technical theater, all areas of theatrical design, playwriting, directing, PR and prety much everything else involved in theater. Over the years I have worked on more than 250 productions of all types: comedy, musical, drama, improv, historical recreations, and I have worked in all types and venues of theater: proscenium, black box, arena, thrust, alley, Educational, Professional, Summer Stock and community theaters.
My design expertise includes: sets, lighting, costumes, make-up, PR materials; posters, flyers, tickets, collateral design elements. In addition I excel at painting and all other areas of technical theater.
I am a playwright with over 200 scripts in rotating performance with The Shoalwater Storytellers, Oysterville, WA.
I am co-founder of the Shoalwater Storytellers, founding president and artistic/technical director of The Peninsula Playhouse, Long Beach, WA. Facilitator for Just Add Water (Improv troupe U of Hawaii) The Answer (improve Longview, WA)
I have worked summer stock in New York at the Gateway playhouse where I was artistic and technical director of the Red Barn Theater. Also worked stock in Portland, OR at The Portland Civic Theater during their Summer Repertory Onstage (SRO) program.
I have taught Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for six years. I am up to date on the current versions of the programs.
I am proficient in the following features of Premiere Pro:
Editing, Audio, color matching, color correction, color management, Chroma Keying, transitions, timing, frame rates and aspect ratios, CODECs, Capturing video, opacity and superimposition,(matte or mask) adjusting clip speed.
Type; titles and credits, safe frames/zones.
Interface; Project panel, preview panel, Monitor window, timeline, tracks, changing track formats, tool palette, Effects, NLE, automation, use of Photoshop and After Effects files in Premiere Pro, multipoint editing, exporting audio and video, single frame techniques, nested and multiple sequences
