I have a Masters Degree in Special Education Cross Categorical and am beginning my 15th year with Seattle Public Schools working with special education students. I have also worked with regular ed students who have some sort of disability or learning delay or for students who simply struggle in one or two subjects.
Many students I have worked with have had dyslexia. I worked for an entire school year working with a third grade girl with dyslexia. She was a non-reader when we began working together, but through a lot of patience and having her sound out words and read them out loud, she was reading at a high first grade level by the end of the school year, amazing all her teachers.
I am highly qualified to teach students with dyslexia.

I work with students on letter recognition, letter sounds, and reading comprehension.
I am highly qualified to teach all aspects or reading including phonics.
