I approach the game as a fun, learning, and combinatoric exercise. I don't like to feel crushed when I lose or feel like a jerk when I win. I hope my student (players) will look at the game as a exercise in planning, strategy, and fortitude, as well as bravery, all in the spirit of fun and learning. I believe that playing chess will enable one to be a more careful thinker.
