I have over nine years of experience teaching both one-on-one and in classroom settings and love meeting and helping people. In particular, I love working with teenagers and helping them develop the skills they need to succeed in middle school and high school and to prepare for college. I think I have a patient, encouraging, and intuitive teaching style that works well with students that age, though I am very flexible and can adapt my teaching style to the needs of the student. I regularly tutor students in math up to precalculus, biology, English, physics, and chemistry. I also coach students through the college application process and enjoy helping them write their personal statement or essay. I've taught both beginning and intermediate SAT classes and also have much experience working with ESL students, both children and adults. I'm a graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in neurobiology and I plan to attend dental school this fall. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
