I am a permanent resident from Germany, I moved to the United States in 2006, as an Au-pair, live in Nanny. My main tasks were taking care of 3 children, the house and meals. I taught German and art, as well as crafting. I took ESL classes at the community college of Livermore, CA to reach a good a level speaking my second language.
I have always believed I possess a natural flair for personal style and an appreciation for design. Combine that with my desire to have a career that will challenge my knowledge and skills, passion, and creativity on a daily basis, I decided to pursue a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, with concentration in illustration, layout, branding, web design and package design. I graduated with honor in 2012 from the Art Institute of Portland, OR.
I am skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. My fields of design I have experience in are print and web, as well as social media. I have developed my skills in the area of creation, working within an agency in Germany. Building and implementing digital media for national and international online communication activities in the B2B and B2C area. Ideation of graphical layouts for flash animations and motion pictures, as well as collateral pieces, print ads and art directing are some of my expertise fields. I accompanied production steps for the creation of digital and printed communications, such as web sites, flash and video animations, display ads, banner flights, print ads, brochures, packaging and business packages. I created and designed corporate websites, looked after brands in the field homepage, CRM and social media activities.
I have the ability to teach German in a fun, active way, that is not just about studying grammar and spell checks, it is also about to learn about the German culture, the flair, food and places in Germany. I am very passionate and my word of the day is:
You only learn if you take the opportunity to do an mistake, and don't give up, stay on it, until you have it the right way.
