Hello,
I am a native of France and lived in a few European countries before moving to the U.S. over 16 years ago. My background is in languages and business, and I started my career in the U.S. translating software, which is known as software localization. One thing led to another and I moved through various positions and responsibilities within the software industry, as a localizer, localization program manager, project manager and senior project manager working on technical products, websites, in the gaming industry and for the past two years as a consultant in business and marketing. Whether I programmed or project-managed, I have somehow always had opportunities to draw on my language skills and knowledge of foreign markets.
I have a family and with my kids in elementary school, I started volunteering through the PTA and in the classroom. I've now been involved with the PTA for 4 years, as a volunteer and in leadership positions, and have made education one of my priorities in my volunteer work and my career. I am actively involved in my community, supporting our local library, after-school education initiatives and youth-related activities in general. I am also a Sunday school teacher, using a Montessori-style method to bring the wonder of God to our kids.
It would be my pleasure to assist you, whether you're in middle school, high school or a business professional and need support learning French or German, or whether you are an elementary student and need someone to help you along with your reading or writing. I love working with kids and watching my own kids grow and discover the world is what gets me up each day! I am looking forward to meeting you!
