I graduated from the University of Washington (GO HUSKIES!), earned a teaching certificate through Western Washington University, then a Masters in Education through Lesley University. I have taught 1st through 8th grades (substituting), 2nd grade (gifted education), and enjoy being a teacher volunteer at my church (ages 6-10). In the past I worked with kids, ages 6-14, as a camp counselor, too. (Yes, I know how to teach kids, AND have fun, too.)

Hobbies: I enjoy hiking, sailing, reading, cooking, sports (basketball, tennis, volleyball, flag football, softball), going to movies, volunteering in the community, and hanging out with friends and family.

Teaching style(s): I prefer one-on-one, which is ideal for tutoring, and working with students in small groups. Working at a library, or community center, is a quiet environment for ideal learning. I want to get to know you and your interests. Trust is important to me.

I make learning meaningful, life-like, and fun, in case you forgot. I use real-world examples, humor, your interests, and promise to keep you engaged in the learning.

Elementary Math

I'm a 4th grade teacher. I'm quite comfortable tutoring students in elementary Math. I'm also comfortable with tutoring students in the Math on the ISEE.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have a Masters in Education from Lesley University. I have taught elementary education for 5 years, both in private and public schools. I was a 2nd grade teacher for 4 years where I taught Reading, Writing, Vocabulary, Cursive, Geography, Science, Social skills, Social Studies, Math, and sometimes Spanish. I have substituted in grades K-5, too. I earned my teaching certificate through Western Washington University.

ADD/ADHD

I currently teach at the elementary level at a private school. I have 23 students. Of those 23 students some have ADD, one with ADHD. For privacy reasons I cannot tell you more about my class (to protect my students), but will let you know that I have experience teaching students in this area.

The last student I tutored in ISEE prep was a 5th grader. We worked together for 2 hours each week for several months. I helped her with vocabulary, math, and reading preparation.

I help make test preparation stress-free and fun while practicing the necessary skills needed for the ISEE.

I know the format of the test, and will provide practice tests and materials.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
