I am a writer and reader by passion with my own novel in the works. Even for someone who enjoys it, writing is not easy. As a graduating Senior from the University of Washington: Bothell with a degree in Culture, Literature and the Arts, I have intimate experience in essays of every type. I am adept at aiding students in both the creation and editing of any project from elementary through college. I firmly believe that anyone can become a writer, and that the hardest part of writing is getting everything on paper.
I have always loved the game of chess, having spent much of elementary years in chess clubs and tournaments. I also worked as a chess tutor with the Orlov Chess Academy for a year, teaching classes of upwards of 15 children of varying skills.
I have a wide degree of experience working teaching younger children from teaching them to play chess to how to make video games in summer camps. I am skilled at creating an environment of great rapport between me and my students. I am a firm but kind teacher who believes in the importance understanding the materiel.
