My name is Silvia. I was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia to a father from Berlin, Germany and a mother from Vienna, Austria.
I was bilingual in Spanish and German at seven years of age when my parents returned to Berlin. I have always had great talent for languages and welcomed the chance to spend a year in England attending school at age 15-16. I was not much older when I met my husband, an American who spoke fluent German and French, and learned much from my husband who speaks English eloquently
I have lived in the U.S.A. for approximately 30 years and worked as a Registered Nurse and Counselor for many years. I love the sciences but my greatest love is Language.
I currently teach ESL at Jewish Family Services in Bellevue, WA. My greatest reward are the students who come from many different countries and cultures. They tell me they benefit from my making English classes not only a learning experience but also a lot of fun.
