Dear Student or student's family member,
My name is Don and I am 38 years old, born in South Dakota and raised in Texas. My credentials are listed as follows: Graduate New Testament Christian Seminary 2005; 59 credit hours Vincenne's University, Indiana 2002; U.S. Army AMEDD Center and School 91C LPN Program First Honor Graduate 2000; Certified Medical Spanish Interpreter DSHS Washington State 2011; Primary Leadership Development Course U.S. Army Sergeant's School 2002; Nursing experience 11.5 years; et cetera. My favorite subject is the Bible and religion. If you need help understanding these subjects I am the one to call. My second subject is Spanish. You are not likely to find someone else that can teach you Spanish better. I have been speaking Spanish fluently for several years and use it on a daily basis at my job where I work as a nurse, helping Spanish and English-speaking patients with their healthcare. Basic education is easy stuff.
I believe that the last time I took my I.Q. Test I was at or near Genius level, about 138-140, as I remember. Thanks to God I have been gifted with intelligence and would like to impart some of it to you in a humble way -How do you prove to people you would be a good tutor without bragging that you are smart?- Who wants a dumb tutor? Anyway, I really don't think it is moral or attractive to boast, but would love to help you get to where you want to go with your subject. I know how to speak quite a bit of French and Portuguese also but would only be able to tutor at a child's level with respect to those languages. My teaching technique involves teaching the students how to teach themselves, inspiring an interest in learning, allowing them ample time to ruminate on a problem in order to derive a response, teaching memorization techniques and above all I love to identify with the student or "get on their level" mimicking their mannerisms and becoming like them in order to relate to them and thereby facilitate learning. Thank you for your time.
