I am a retired medical doctor, having practiced family medicine for about three decades. Since retiring I have tutored small groups of junior high and high school students in the Puyallup AVID program. I have also tutored several students one on one in their homes. I have been able to build strong rapport with most students and thus help them quickly improve their understanding of the subjects with which they are struggling.
I have a strong math and science background but also have a good understanding of English and history subjects. If I am informed about the subject to be worked on prior to the tutoring session I am willing, if necessary, to review the material before the actual tutoring session. I look forward to assisting you in your efforts to master your school subjects and feel pride in your accomplishments.
