Algebra 1

Algebra 1 is a tough math subject but the concepts are easy to remember because many can be used with other problems. So its not like memorizing a lot of different equations but how to put one in equation into many different problems. I can help students come up with cool ways to think about these different equations and make things fun.

Prealgebra

Prealgebra is a good class to be taking because it really gets you ready for everything that is going to be happening in all other math. I took this class and have only gone up from there in math and I actually still remember and use all of the skills today. Its something that is good for the rest of your life.

Proofreading

Proofreading is a very hard thing to do by yourself unless you have a lot of practice. There are a lot of strategies that can be used when you need to get something to be the best it can, so proofreading is the best way to do that. I can help students with their proofreading skills and proofread papers for them because I have written so many papers and have had the experience necessary to proofread my own really well.

Spelling

Many languages today spell things in different ways then we would have originally thought so being a good speller and understanding when things need silent letters is something that is a good skill to have. I have spelled my whole life and know how to spell many different words so all I want to do is help pass on my knowledge so others too can spell very well.

Study Skills

Studying these days needs to be taken very seriously because it is one of the most important things that will happen in every grade that you go through. Tests are always coming and you always need to know how to be prepared. I can help when it comes to that because I have had so much time taking tests and studying for them that I know all the tricks to studying and I currently help many students in my dorm with their study habits. I am pursuing majors in both Neuroscience and Psychology along with two minors, one in Biology and the other in Chemistry.

Tennis

Tennis is a fun sport that can get you out and active and can help you learn how to work as a team, as in doubles, or be competitive, like singles. No matter what it is always a fun sport to learn and can keep you very active. Tennis is a sport that requires a lot of time because you must get your hand-eye-foot coordination down. I can help teach prospective tennis players the basics of the game and also some more advanced techniques. I have played tennis for 6 years and played on my high school varsity team all 4 years.
