Student needs always come first. I am an expert at designing lessons for each student’s specific needs and learning preferences. Knowing how important it is that students feel comfortable when learning new and difficult material, I maintain a relaxed teaching environment, but also have high expectations.
I have more than 20 years of experience as an educator, having worked students ranging in age from 18 months to 82 years. I have been a public school teacher teaching 3rd through 8th grade. I also have experience working with K-2 children and with high school students as an English tutor.
I have a Master’s degree in education, and most recently taught English to high school students and adult English language learners. English students of mine have come from Mexico, Central and South America, Europe and Asia. I can teach basic literacy or English for the workplace or school, including college. I am learning Spanish, so I know how difficult it can be to learn another language.
