Learning is all about personal interaction. As a graduate of Ivy League institutions, both at the undergraduate and graduate level, I have been successful by making learning become personal so that it matters to me. Everyone, of course, is different in terms of what matters to them, but as a tutor, I will utilize each student's unique and different characteristics to tailor the learning plan to be as efficient and productive as possible. I am excited to tap into each student's learning potential and maximizing it to help them attain their educational goals.
I have over five years' experience as a tutor, instructor, and teaching assistant. I worked as a tutor for two years while in college, helping fellow students in both individual and group tutoring sessions. I also spent one year as an instructor (critical reading, mathematics, and writing sections) for a SAT prep course, catering mostly to a group of high school students. Finally, as a graduate student, I worked as a teaching assistant for 1.5 years. In a class of over 200 graduate students, I led recitation classes with around 15 students each. I also provided more individual help through office hours. The aspect I enjoy most about teaching and tutoring is the individual interaction I have with students. I look forward to learning more about you and how I can help you to reach your educational goals.
