Looking for a competent, reliable tutor without spending $50 and hour? I have a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy. I am currently a grad student at University of Washington, working on a MA in Teaching English to Speakers of OTher Languages (TESOL). I also hold an Advanced Certificate in TESOL.
My approach to teaching English is based on your needs. If you are interested in becoming more fluent and comfortable speaking English, then our sessions can centered on conversations based on topics of your choosing (this ensures you are learning the vocabulary and style of speaking that you want to learn). If you are interested in learning grammar or composition, then we can assess your needs and focus on the areas that are giving you the most trouble. I have two main concerns when during our sessions. First, I want to make sure you are comfortable and feel like you are learning what you want to learn. Second, I will try and pack each session with as much information as possible, so that you get your money's worth.
If you are interested in learning Philosophy, my areas of focus are in Symbolic Logic and Political Philosophy. However, I have a strong working knowledge of the major topics in the field.
Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to working with you in the future.
