Biology

I have a BS in Biochemistry from Iowa State University and a MS in Molecular Cell Biology from Washington University in St. Louis. I worked for over 10 years in science research labs at Washington University on various cell biology problems including cell transport, cell communication and cell signaling. I taught biology lab classes at St. Louis College of Pharmacy for 8 years. I also taught Introductory Biology, both the lecture and lab, at St. Louis Community College for 2 years. I love talking about biology. It is my favorite subject.

Genetics

I have a Masters degree in Molecular Cell Biology. In earning that degree, I took a number of classes is genetics. I worked in a laboratory for many years using my genetics knowledge daily to replicate and modify genes. In addition, I taught biology at St. Louis College of Pharmacy. There was a genetics component to the course there. I have experience with Medelian genetics, punnet squares, chromosome linking and mapping, mutations, gene expression, DNA replication, recombination, gene regulation, and some population genetics.

Approved Subjects
