I just earned a bachelor's of environmental science from the University of Washington and am currently working on a master's in geotechnical engineering. I have an extensive understanding in the following areas: algebra, sciences (biology, chemistry, and Earth science), precalculus, and writing (technical and creative). I enjoy working with peers and students of all ages.
I feel that I am patient and understanding when it comes to students who struggle in school. I try to take a hands-on approach when it comes to math and science. Word problems are always a struggle for people, and I believe that the more we practice and understand what it is a question is asking, the better we can do in the subject matter. Even if someone isn't interested in the subject, I believe there are always ways to enjoy learning.
In writing and grammar, I think that a writer can be taught to do well. We are here to learn and no matter what the subject is, there is always room for a well-written paper.
