I have taught every math course at the college level, from basic arithmetic through calculus -- and that includes algebra, precalculus, calculus 1,2 and 3, multivariable calculus, and statistics. I have lots of materials and handouts from those courses that I think you will find helpful. As I near retirement, I desire to stay close to mathematics in a more informal manner, and I can't think of a better way to do that than through this format.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I taught Algebra 2 and Precalculus (functions and trigonometry) for most of my 20 years of community college teaching. As with all of my subjects, I prefer the old school approach to learning math -- working problems -- more is better. In addition, I have lots of handouts and notes that synthesize pertinent information germane to a specific topic. Algebra 2 is an important stepping stone to higher levels of mathematics. It is a building block for advanced algebra, trigonometry, and calculus concepts. So, it's vitally important to spend quality time learning it well. I can help you do that. Let me know how I can help you.

I taught Calculus 1, 2, and 3 for ten years at the community college levels and I also taught a couple of quarters of multivariable calculus. As with all of my subjects, I prefer the old school approach to learning math -- working problems. In addition, I have lots of handouts and notes that synthesize pertinent information germane to a specific topic.

I taught Precalculus I (Introduction to functions and basic function types) and II (trigonometry) for most of my 20 years of community college teaching. As with all of my subjects, I prefer the old school approach to learning math -- working problems. In addition, I have lots of handouts and notes that synthesize pertinent information germane to a specific topic.

Probability and statistics have been my specialty these past 12 years of teaching at the community college and university levels. I am very comfortable with the material. As with all of my subjects, I prefer the old school approach to learning math -- working problems -- as many as possible. In addition, I have lots of handouts and notes that synthesize pertinent information germane to a specific topic.

I taught Precalculus I (Introduction to functions and basic function types) and II (trigonometry) for most of my 20 years of community college teaching. They are my favorite subjects to teach -- espcecially trigonometry. As with all of my subjects, I prefer the old school approach to learning math -- working problems -- and lots of them. I like tutor time to be well organized, well planned -- all parties have put the time in to properly prepare for the limited, precious time we will have. In addition, I have lots of handouts and notes that synthesize pertinent information germane to a specific topic.
