I have a BA in Asian Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder and an MS in International Studies from Central Connecticut State University. I have had over 30 years of teaching experience, from young children to seniors, in Chinese and Japanese language and cultures. I was born in Kyoto, Japan and have lived all over the States teaching at high schools, community colleges and Universities. I was born and raised in Japan but was always interested in learning Chinese language and culture, so I went ahead and studied Chinese as my minor concentration while I majored in Asian studies program at University of Colorado, Boulder.
As for my working experience in using Chinese, I have been largely involved in student exchange and recruitment program between Taiwan and the US schools. As far as my teaching experience is concerned, I have been teaching mostly beginning level Chinese to K12 to working professionals for the last years and I immensely enjoy teaching it.

As for my professional credentials, I have been teaching Japanese for various constituents ranging from young children to working professionals for the last 25 years in academic institutions. I have taught beginning to advanced level Japanese both in universities and high schools as well as extensive private tutoring experiences all over the states and Japan.
