I LOVE the human brain and all the potential it holds for innovation and creativity! My best day is helping others discover the love I have for learning about our brains and why we do what we do. My psychological heroes are Maslow, Jung and Carl Rogers.
I am an Organizational Development consultant focusing on the millennial generation's influence the workplace and creation of a humanistic centered workplace. I spend a lot of my time teaching the science of psychology, human behavior and motivation to business men and women. I love the work and love working with younger generations. My philosophy is that psychology is about us and how we move successfully (or unsuccessfully) through the world based on science, nature and environment, so to make the best decisions, we need to understand ourselves better.
I hold a Master of Science degree (MS) in Psychology. I am also a Human Resources Professional as well as a Certified Counselor with the State of Washington. I am currently in a doctoral program studying Psychology and Organizational Systems.
All of these credentials help me to better align the application of psychology in real world scenarios as well as highlight my ethical foundation to providing a safe environments for students to learn. Much of the feedback I receive from clients focuses around my ability to adapt teaching and learning methods to the personalities and styles of my students. At the end of the day, my students not only learn the subject, but also learn the practical applications, to better their own world.
My hope is that students will enjoy the worlds of psychology, study skills and public speaking with me. I strive to be a positive role model for the love of learning.
