I'd like to bring my experience as an engineer and a math teacher to help high school students understand their math course work. After 30 years working as an engineer for a company, I became a certificated teacher in the state of Washington with math and chemistry endorsements. For the last two years, I taught algebra, geometry, advanced algebra, pre-calculus, and engineering courses in a high school. When possible, I will connect the math the students are doing with real-world relationships in order to answer the students' favorite question, "why do I need to learn this?" You will find me personable, encouraging, animated, and knowledgeable when tutoring math.
