I am an experienced test prep tutor who has worked for three major tutoring companies. I continue to work for a premier tutoring company in the area, so I am knowledgeable of changes in the SAT and ACT and current on the latest techniques for improving scores. I teach techniques that work to enable students to reach their SAT or ACT goal score. All test prep students have the option to take a practice test (or multiple practice tests) which I will grade and analyze to determine where the student needs the most help. Test prep sessions are individualized and customized for each student and often much less expensive than studying through a test preparation company.
In addition to tutoring test prep, I am also available to tutor a variety of subjects. As a former teacher, I have experience working with students of all ages. I am excellent at teaching Math to those who hate it. I disliked math and I know how to teach methods to make it easier. I am available to tutor grade school math, pre-algebra, geometry, algebra and algebra II. I am great with English language and literature at all levels. I can provide assistance with all aspects of writing, from outlining a research paper to editing college admission essays. I am willing to edit documents online (usually through Google docs) as well as in person.
I frequently work with students enrolled in homeschool programs. I am available to assist in homeschool curriculum planning and I can also provide subject help if your child is struggling with a specific subject. I excel at helping homeschooled students get back on track in order to complete their program (or meet their college admission goals) on time. I have tutoring availability during the day to accomodate all schedules.
If you are outside of my travel area, or if you prefer to learn online, I now offer online tutoring. Tutoring sessions take place through an online platform that allows me to transfer files, assess homework and communicate directly with the student. I will help you with the technology aspect without charging for the time and I offer free e-mail support.

I usually never review Anne because I'm not present at the lessons and therefore don't have firsthand knowledge, but I can tell you that my daughter works very well with Anne and doesn't want any other tutor. We appreciate Anne's diligence and patience and it has paid off, as our daughter's grades have continued to improve in her honors math classes since Anne started working with her.
Anne is a perfect fit for our daughter! Her expertise in ACT prep is exactly what we were looking for. She has a great personality and can relate well with my daughter. We look forward to continuing sessions with Anne that will help prepare our daughter in doing her best on the ACT.
We give her 6 stars - she really assisted my grandson to get his GED. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is really good.
Very helpful and understanding. Taught easy to use math methods and went at the students pace. I really enjoyed working with her and plan to work on even more with her. Highly recommended.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Despite the name, the Science portion of the ACT Science test does NOT actually contain Science. I am an expert at teaching techniques for managing this portion of the ACT and routinely see huge score improvements.
I have a BA is Education and was certified in the state of Wisconsin to teach preK-12th grade. I taught several grades, including K, 1, 2, 3 and 4, at a K-12 bilingual school. I also tutored special needs elementary students while attending college.
Whether you need help with all portions of the GED or only a subject, I can help your prepare. I provide comprehensive and individualized GED tutoring that will ensure you pass.
Prealgebra is the foundation for all upper level math and as such it is incredibly important for a student to fully understand prealgebra concepts. I enjoy helping students who "hate math" gain better understanding and I teach techniques meant to foster a stable foundation for future math.
I am a certified teacher and have been a tutor for more than 8 years. I regularly assist students in developing the skills necessary to be able to learn information in a time efficient manner. I have worked with homeschooled students, as well as students enrolled in traditional school to help them learn how to manage their time and learn the required material.
