While (x^2-x)/(x-1) does simplify to x, it is not true that g(x) and f(g) are not equivalent. Because f(x)=x except at x=1 and is undefined at x=1. Meanwhile g(1)=1.

I have been tutoring math for over 14 years in University and High School settings with more than 100 students in both one-on-one and group situations. In 2011, I worked as a Site Coordinator for A+ Advantage Point, a tutoring program for at risk students. I have taken courses and training sessions on tutoring and teaching methods which have helped me to personalize my tutoring approach to fit different learning styles, levels, speed and ages.

I have tutored Math to nearly every age and grade level from a kindergartener to a college student working on a 300 level Math Course. Learning to count to Arithmetic and Multiplication table memorization. Algebra to Trigonometry and Calculus. Geometry to Mathematical Modeling and Statistics. I have even tutored Proof Writing and Logic. I can help you or your child enter the beautiful world of Mathematics no matter the starting point.

I have worked with many students who have suffered from Math Anxiety; helping them to overcome the stress, worry and anxiety that overwhelms them and keeps them from understanding and development. It is a rocky and hard path to walk down, but it can be done.

I can also provide study guides and formula sheets upon request. Tambien hablo espanol.

I was very happy with the tutoring I received from Brendon! He was very quick to respond when I first needed a tutor! He was easy to understand and would explain things in different ways to help me. He would meet me whenever I need him and I was so grateful for that!!! I would not have been able to do it with out his help and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who needs help!!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Hello World!

I have been programming in C++ and C# for several years now. My current project is an app I am developing intended for the Windows Phone App Store.

I took my course in ODE's from Walla Walla University in 2011. I received high marks for that class and have tutored several students in ODE's since then including a couple students that would come in my office at that same University.
