Growing up I always had a very difficult time focusing in school, my grades were poor and I could never really focus on my classes. I appear to be psychologically unable to really focus on anything for which I cannot see a clear purpose, and that has not really changed to this day. In junior high, I began to understand the purpose for many of my classes and my academic performance improved significantly. Since that time I have experienced good times and bad academically, and can relate to and help students in similar situations. I like to get to know the strengths and weaknesses of my students, in order to form analogies tailored to a specific student. I can develop instructional lesson plans for an entire subject or plans tailored to immediate needs (homework assignments etc.) of the student. My school recently began a tutoring program for Programming students, despite the fact that they are not currently hiring, I have spent nearly as much time as the official paid tutors in the room helping students through difficult assignments and several of them were surprised when I mentioned in passing that I am not a paid tutor at the end of last quarter. I am Passionate about programming and I love helping people. Please consider me to help guide you through the learning process.
During my ongoing time in college I have had a difficult time finding my niche I have studied a great deal of Mathematics including 4 quarters of Calculus, completing "Calculus, 6E" by James Stewart including Vector Calculus and Discrete Structures in both of which I received a 4.0. About 2 years ago I discovered programming. I have taken a total of 5 Java courses receiving a 3.5 in the first and a 4.0 in all programming courses since, including 2 courses in C, and various others noted in my subjects. Of my subjects, I am by far the best in C and Java, and not to be immodest, I am one of the most knowledgeable students at my school in theses topics.

ADD/ADHD

I have been dealing with these issues all my life. I was diagnosed with ADD a few years ago, just before I turned 21. Everyone kind of figured I had it, but we didn't really do anything about it so I needed to fend for myself. Growing up I devised methods of coping with these issues. I may be able to bring a level of understanding to the table, which may help students to feel comfortable in their learning environment.

Algebra 1

I took Algebra 1 in junior high. I have taken the calculus track at my college school from pre-calculus to vector calculus (Calc 4).

Algebra 2

I took Algebra 2 in high school. I have taken the calculus track at my college school from pre-calculus to vector calculus (Calc 4). I have on occasion helped other students with math homework. I am a programming student, so I have experience with story problems.

American History

I have completed high school and college History courses. I have spent countless hours from my youth to adulthood privately studying and discussing history American history. My father has the garage lined with history books in a fashion which would put the library of Alexandria to shame (see what I did there?).

ASP.NET

I very good with html 5 and CSS 3. I received a 4.0 in C#/ASP.NET course this fall. I have experience in both static and dynamic web development and I am resourceful. If a solution to a problem does not exist or I cannot locate it, then I make a new one.

Aspergers

I have been dealing with these Issues all my life. I was diagnosed with Aspergers a few years ago, just before I turned 21. Growing up I devised methods of coping with these issues on my own and I hope that I could help others struggling as I did with these strategies. I believe that I am well suited to instructing young kids into the Junior High years in coping with this. I also hope I may be able to bring a level of understanding to the table which may help students to feel comfortable in their learning environment.

C

I have taken both Introduction to C programming and Advanced C programming through my school's CIS program. I received a 4.0 in both courses. I have extensive experience in several other C-based languages and experience tutoring this specific subject. I have experience in both the mathematical and coding aspects of data structures in C. Geography

I grew up with an interest in world history which naturally overlapped with geography. I grew up playing historical games set across the world such as Europe and Japan.
