First, I am a passionate language teacher who is also interested in learning foreign languages myself. I've graduated from college in China with a bachelors degree in English education and another one in Chinese linguistics and literature. I've also attended the Monterey Institute of International Studies to obtain my masters' degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages. In the meantime, I minored in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
I have plenty of teaching experience in both China and America. I have worked as a teaching assistant at the Monterey Institute, tutoring graduate student Chinese speaking, reading and writing. I have also worked in the Concordia Language Villages in Minnesota and the Middlebury and Monterey Language Academy as professional Chinese instructor, teaching 5-12 graders Chinese language and culture. And I spent the last year working as an assistant professor of Chinese at a local college in Monterey, California. I am currently working as a Chinese teacher at a local high school in Seattle. I would love to work with you and your kids to improve their language skills and get to know about the society and culture where the language is spoken!
