I am a full-time high school math and science teacher who does a little tutoring on the side for fun. I thrive on helping students tackle challenging courses such as AP, IB, or Honors. I love tutoring Physics, Chemistry, Calculus, Precalculus, and Geometry.
I have been teaching and tutoring high school math and science for more than ten years. I teach at a private school in Woodinville, where all of my teaching is done in one-on-one sessions. This allows me to individualize the instruction and to adapt to the learning styles and needs of each student. During the summers, I teach Geometry for Johns Hopkins University's Center for Talented Youth.
I have a BS in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a year of graduate work in Cognitive Psychology at Carnegie-Mellon University, and a teaching credential from Seattle University.
I generally tutor between 5:00 and 7:00 pm, two evenings a week. I also tutor on the weekends. I hold my tutoring sessions in:
Redmond - at the library
Woodinville - at the Barnes and Noble bookstore
Bothell - at the library
Kenmore - at the library
Juanita - at the Starbucks inside the QFC
and Lake Forest Park - at the library
