I specialize in growing excitement for learning! I am a curious and inquisitive person, with a belief that education is the most powerful tool you can give a child. With my students, I do not only help them through their subjects, I guide them to a realization of their own potentials as bright and gifted individuals.

As a graduate of St. John's College, I learned how to think analytically and come up with creative solutions to the problems in the 21st century. I studied philosophy with a special interest in the history of science.

I have experience tutoring High School and Middle School curriculum (Math, Science, English, History, Social Studies, Spanish), as well as SAT/ACT. In 2012 I taught in Kenya for 6 months at a high school in a rural community. I am excited to help ESL and TOEFL students as well!

With a few basic skills, I can teach you how to draw ANYTHING!

In our lessons, I will teach you how to see objects in a way that makes drawing easy!

We will cover:
- How to see contours and edges
- How to see cross-contours
- How to see angles, proportions, and sizes
- How to see shading

... and much more!

We will work in a variety of media- pencil, charcoal, ink, and color inks.

About Me: Since I was a young child, I have been taking art classes at my local art institute, the Baum School of Art in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

In college I started a figure drawing club, meeting twice a week, with professional nude models.

I also completed college credit courses in studio art, specializing in sculpture and 3-D form.

Last year I traveled to a small village in Kenya, where I taught English and Art classes at a high school. I designed projects exposing students to varied types of art: still life drawing, landscape painting, mixed-media art, pottery, and collage.

I love teaching experienced students how to hone in their ability to express themselves in the deepest sense. But I especially love to help students with little or no prior experience find their inner-artist.

Learning to drawing is FUN and easy, and extremely worthwhile!

Thorough, patient science tutor. — Brittany has a lovely, calm manner, yet her tutoring sessions are very thorough. She makes my son work, but she is never pushy or demanding. She is a very positive choice for our 7th grade son. ...
