I'm a friendly and knowledgeable ESL teacher with more than 14 years experience in the U.S. and abroad. Recently I taught international students at English language schools for three years in Boston. My classes included English Grammar, English Conversation/Listening/Pronunciation and Vocabulary, and TOEFL iBT Preparation. From 1999-2009, I was full-time Visiting Professor of EFL at universities in Japan. I taught English conversation and communication skills and strategies, and challenging content classes like Business English, English Debate, Studies in Cinema, and Environmental Issues. From 1994-1998, I taught English to kindergarteners, teenagers and adults in Taipei, Taiwan. I can help you with any of your four communication skills in English -- reading, writing, listening and speaking --- as well as academic study skills and strategies for school and in preparation for university in the U.S.
