I not only studied Spanish for my bachelors degree, but I also spent a year and a half in Uruguay interacting with the people and learning their culture as well. I have spent 6 weeks in Spain in my earlier years while studying the language. The culture and language are something that have become second nature to me and I enjoy continuously incorporating them in my life and helping others learn them as well.
I've had 18 year of classical ballet training with Utah Regional Ballet. I danced with Utah Valley Universities ballet company my last semester of college in 2008. In February of 2012 I performed for a high school benefit with The Collective. I have taught classical ballet at Jazz N' Place and Studio Xcite (both in Utah) among other places. It is a passion I love to share with others. I love the interaction with the students and seeing the progress they receive for not just their ballet future, but all aspects of dance.
While my husband and I owned a gym we saw the need for yoga. I received my 200hr credit Yoga Alliance certification in May 2012. I used that knowledge on a daily basis in order to prescribe stretches to the particular work out of the day. We also held hour classes weekly in order for a longer more relaxing approach to give back to the body. My area of expertise is Yin/Restorative, Hatha, and Ashtanga yoga practices.
