I am a former middle school and high school teacher. I began in the middle schools in the US teaching math, English, science, and PE. Then, I worked overseas for two years preparing high school juniors and seniors to take Cambridge O-Level Exams with math and English. After returning to the US, I worked with middle and high school students in algebra, geometry, English, and computers. I taught an English immersion course for Korean sixth graders as well and spent time tutoring math, English, and reading at a learning center.
I've been working with students in Algebra 1 and 2, trig, geometry, ESL (pronunciation, oral and written communication), SSAT Prep, computer operations, and general math basics ranging from probability and statistics to fractions and decimals.
I enjoy seeing student growth in their area of study and in a broader context that leads them to a successful future, by translating learning where it is used on a daily basis, incorporating my knowledge and experience in the business world and through an MBA.
I work through WyzAnt as an independent contractor. I am a volunteer instructor for Skate Journeys Skate School in Bellevue on the weekends. I also own a separate company focused on water wave systems that generate electricity in the ocean.
