My name is Anita. I have four years of one-on-one tutoring experience. I have helped many students improve their skills in Spanish, English, writing, Art History as well as standardized test preparation (TOEFL, DELE and all other exams of Spanish language and literature).
I am a certified teacher with 8 years of classroom teaching experience. I had taught Spanish students across the spectrum, from elementary school to graduate students at a research university, and at all levels, from beginners to advanced language and literature courses. Though most of my experience in the classroom is teaching Spanish, I have also designed and taught remedial English reading and writing for incoming college freshmen and worked as a writing tutor while in college.
My academic career started at the University of Louisville, where I earned a BA in Spanish and Art History. After that, I earned my MAT in World Languages at National-Louis University. I am currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Chicago writing a dissertation on Spanish Early Modern theater.
Needless to say, I love to learn and I love to teach. I am a very patient and friendly individual and I would love to help you reach your full potential. I look forward to working with you!
