From the time I was a child making paper dolls with my grandmother, to the time when I created decorative covers for my floppy disks, I have always loved creating things from scratch!
I became interested in web and graphic design in high school, when I designed my first website in computer class, using Microsoft Frontpage. I got a taste for graphic design in my school's journalism class where I helped design the monthly newsletter. I graduated from Walla Walla University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design. Since graduation, I have worked with small businesses and professionals creating identity and branding materials. To keep current with tech trends and improve my knowledge of multimedia, I have taken additional courses in motion graphics, web design, and video production from Lake Washington Institute of Technology in Kirkland, WA.
With previous experience as a Teacher's Assistant, I work directly with students to help them understand and retain what they are learning as well as learning how to properly apply this knowledge. I tutor students in Visual Communication, Illustration with Adobe Illustrator, Photography, Web Design, Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Digital Imaging, Adobe InDesign, Video Editing, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Basic Computer skills. Besides technology and art tutoring, I also provide help with ESL, research writing, history, biology, and English.
I look forward to hearing from you!
