I am patient, optimistic, and believe in success of every student. I tutor from my home in South Bellevue (98006). Parents are welcome and may stay for the entire duration of the lessons.

I am a Math Instructor at Bellevue College with a Master's degree (MS) in Applied Mathematics. I tutor Math from Algebra I to AP Calculus BC and IB math SL and HL.

Most of my students are from Bellevue, Issaquah and Lake Washington School districts. Students from neighboring private schools include Forest Ridge (Bellevue), Overlake (Redmond) and Lakeside (Seattle). I have students coming to me all the way from Renton and Kent school districts too.

I have more than a decade of teaching and tutoring experience in high school. I have been tutoring in the Seattle area since 2008. In addition, I coach for SAT and ACT Math, including SAT Math II.

Though results are not guaranteed, I have helped students improve their grades from D's and F's to A's and B's. Most of my students started with a C or below and are now getting A's or high B's.

Rini is incredibly knowledgeable about not only the subject (calculus), but HOW TO TEACH IT. We have found this is the #1 key for tutoring to really take effect.

We came to visit from Miami, FL and needed a math tutor to help my son finish a geometry course for school. I reached out to WyzAnt.com and was able to make contact with a math tutor named Rini. I was surprised at her prompt response and willingness to work with my son on such short notice. She was very open to our crazy schedule and went above and beyond working to get my son as many sessions possible to finish his course. I found her friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her. Thank you, Rini!

Rini is a great tutor. We are pleased to have her help my son learning math this summer .My son is working on Algebra 2, and he has some problems in statistic and trigonometric. Rini is very experienced in those topics and can make it clear for my son to understand. She has good communication with students as well. Furthermore, she always responds to our request in time and is flexible in schedule. That's really good for us. Although it takes some time to drive to her house, we think it's rewarding. My son rates Rini as one of the best tutors he has ever worked with. We appreciated her help and will keep working with her in fall if my son has any further problems in math. Thank you very much, Rini.

Rini is a brilliant tutor and an educator with many years of experience who understands the needs of her students to succeed. She is very organized, thorough, and concise in her approach to teaching. She is able to cover the necessary topics and allows for practice questions in the span of one hour. Also, her feedback and comments after each lesson are very helpful. Thanks to Rini's tutoring, my child was able to grasp and appreciate Calculus better. I would highly recommend Rini for any math needs! Thanks Rini!

Our son had the chance to work with Rini in the past semester. Non only she was extremely knowledgeable of the topic, she approached tutoring in a very thoughtful way that helped our son greatly improved his grade. I would definitely recommend Rini to anyone who's looking for a Math tutor.

Rini has helped our son so much his sophomore year, that we are going to have her tutor him through the summer and until graduation.

My son is very glad we have Rini as a tutor. After 2 other tutors did not produce the results Rini came to rescue. His test scores are improving and what is more important he finally feels confident about his Calculus. AP Calculus is generally tough subject to learn but my son says that Rini always finds ways to explain so it looks almost easy. He now started to solve problems on his own and it feels right. He says she makes sure he understands the concepts and methods which in turn help the problem solving.

Great learning experience!

We've tried many tutors since my daughter was in middle school, but none met her high standards. Rini is the first math tutor who hit the mark. Previous tutors either couldn't do the problems or couldn't explain the solutions, but Rini can do both. She's also responsive to my requests for focus on specific things. I only wish we had found Rini sooner.

Rini is very knowledgeable in the area of precalculus and calculus and I appreciated very much how much I learned from her in the first lesson. She was able to bring out a intuitive understanding of many problems that I found difficult; that is, the correct perspective and approach on the problem. Her explanation of graph transformations was an explanation that went to the core basics of a transformation. I found that very helpful and helped build my intuition on that topic. A great teacher whose background in applied mathematics I admire and respect. Will look forward to more sessions with her!

When my child is struggling with learning of AP Calculus, I'm desperately looking for help. I asked and tried several available resources and finally found Rini that we are really happy with. She communicates well with my child and most importantly, she is very professional and knows how to teach effectively. After a few classes with her, my child's test scores improve dramatically. Thanks to Rini!

My son needed help with his Pre Calulus but in the beginning he didn't like the idea of having tutoring and doing extra works.

Rini helped him to understand and work on his math problems and now he's grade has improved and he is looking forward to have the session with her. She is a good tutor.

Rini is a great tutor. We use her for AP Calculus and she makes all of the concepts easy to understand. Her approach helps me not only understand the concepts that I am learning but remember how to use them in the future as well. We recommend her!

Thanks Rini for being there when we needed you. My daughter needed help last minute and Rini was there pronto to help us out. Easy to understand and my daughter felt very comfortable with her.

Before working with Rini I had trouble understanding math concepts. Rini helped explain concepts in a way that was easy for me to understand and remember. After working with her I felt more confident in my math skills. I could tell that Rini really cared about my success.

Rini is a very good tutor. She is patient and when its needed she'll repeat things in a different fashion to help the student understand better. She picks up fairly quickly on a student's learning styles. She's a very pleasant woman and I highly recommend using her as a tutor. She's available and we never had scheduling problems. Overall, she's the perfect tutor.

This was our first experience with a tutor and I studied the profiles and reviews very carefully. Rini was our first choice for a math tutor and exceeded our expectations. Rini has the ability to condense the subject matter into clear, concise and understandable material. My student commented that after being baffled for 50 minutes during a lecture at school, Rini explained the concept within five minutes. Rini is familiar with those areas that can be tricky for students and is prepared with tips, tricks, notes and examples to clarify a concept. I highly recommend her for a tutor!

Rini is an excellent math tutor. She is very friendly, and helps explain complex concepts in a simple manner. In 2 months, with her help, my grade rose from a 77% to a 94% in my AP/IB Calculus class. She is flexible with her timings, and helps out whenever I need it the most. I definitely recommend Rini for anyone that's struggling in any field of math!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

How to graph this: (answer)

We know log of zero is undefined. In the given problem we have log 0 when x+4 =0 ie x =-4. So, x = -4 is the vertical asymptote to the curve. Next log 1 is always zero for all bases. So, x =-3 gives x +4 =0. So we have the point (-3, 0) on the graph. Moreover, since...

When y varies directly as x , we write it mathematically as y =Kx, where K is the constant of variation. In a direct variation, x and y both behave in the same manner, when x increases- y also increses. when x decreases, y also decreases. When y varies indirectly as x we write y = K/x, K...
