I have over ten years of experience teaching both one-on-one and in classroom settings and love meeting and helping people. In particular, I love working with teenagers and helping them develop the skills they need to succeed in high school and to prepare for college. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and intuitive which I believe is a good fit for students of that age. I also adapt my teaching methods to the needs of the student.

I have a fairly diverse background: As a graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in neurobiology I regularly tutor students in biology, math through calculus, and chemistry. I also coach high schoolers through the college application process and enjoy helping them write their personal statements. I've taught both beginning and intermediate SAT classes and also have much experience working with ESL students, both children and adults. I also tutor for the DAT, or dental admissions test, and mentor applicants for the dental school application. I was accepted to dental schools at the University of Washington and Columbia University, but am currently pursuing a career in computer science. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
