I have been a university professor for 25 years. My doctoral degree is in cognitive psychology, and I have been studying how the developing brain processes information and the important role of selective attention in learning and memory throughout my research career. I particularly enjoy teaching children and teens and am experienced in psychological and psychiatric assessment of brain disorders, including ADHD and bipolar disorder.

I believe in treating all students as equal partners in the learning experience, but expect the student to put as much care and effort into the learning experience as I do. A good fit between student and tutor is essential for a productive learning environment. I appreciate creativity and often rely on diagramming to solve problems. I believe that good note-taking is an important component of good study habits and subject mastery.

Very Patient — I would like to say that Marina went out of her way to come to me. I was taught how to organize my paper, very good at explaining and very encouraging. Marina cared enough to check on my progress. I will use her again if needed and so should you. ...
