Hello! My name is Janelle and I have my Master's in Elementary Ed and a Bachelor's in Spanish. I also have my Special Ed degree. I have experience working with students K-12.

I teach to the student, meaning that I make my lesson plans around how the student learns. My goal as an educator is to help each individual student meet their educational goal and potentially their life goal.

I am willing to travel up to 30 miles. I am also willing to change my rate of pay, depending on the circumstances.

Special Needs

I have grown up with my brother who has Down's Syndrome. I have been a para educator for 4 years, on and off. I have worked with multiple learning disabilities. I also coach Special Olympics basketball. I am currently working on finishing my Special Ed degree.

Basketball

I have coached various grades. My first coaching experience was with girls grades 4-6. Then I coached grades 5-8. Between those two jobs I have coached Special Olympics Basketball for 7 seasons.

Chess

I have played the game since 6th grade and have taught many of my students how to play.

Cooking

If I loved the hours of working in a restaurant, I would have been a chef. I love to cook and have incorporated cooking into my curriculum.

ADD/ADHD

I am a VT special educator, who has worked with many students who are diagnosed as having ADD/ADHD.

Aspergers

I am a certified VT Special Educator who has worked with many students who are diagnosed as having Aspergers.

Autism

I am a VT certified special educator who has worked with many students who are diagnosed as having autism.
