I am currently a graduate student at the University of Vermont, and have completed all of the coursework needed to earn my Ph.D in cell biology. I have an extensive background in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics and am responsible for mentoring and tutoring new student in the lab. I have taken, and scored well on the SAT, ACT, MCAT and GRE and know what it takes to prepare and do well on these exams. I am prepared to work with, motivate, teach, and learn with students who are feeling overwhelmed or are in need of extra help. I am excited about seeing the future generation succeed in this increasingly competitive world, and I believe that I have the skill set to get students to a place where they can succeed.
My tutoring/teaching style is problem solving based. I believe that students learn the basics best when they are applied to real-life scenarios. I have developed easy methods for understanding complex ideas and equations. In addition to being a graduate student I am also a musician. I have taught guitar lessons to children ranging from ages 8-16 as well as adults wanting to learn. I hope that we can work together!
