I am currently an Adjunct Professor at The Union Institute and University, where I advise students primarily in the fields of Creative Writing, Literature and Licensure in Secondary English. (Union is a low residency program in which the faculty mentor adult students through independent study, as they work toward their Bachelor’s Degrees.)
From 1996 until November 2009, I was at Landmark College, the last four years I served as Director of Admissions. Over the years, I contributed to Landmark College in a variety of ways. First and foremost, I taught written composition, from the lowest level of new students up to and including more advanced students in traditional college composition classes. Secondly, I was a writing tutor, both in the writing center and with tutorial students. Thirdly, I acted as an academic adviser for students negotiating the Associate's degree. Furthermore, I engaged in work on federal grants and appropriations, often presenting both on campus and in the field, playing a significant role in developing the assistive technology program at Landmark College.
