I am currently teaching mathematics at Leland and Gray Union High School. I am also an instructional coach for an online College Algebra class for the University of Texas at Arlington. Previously, I have taught in private schools in both the Philippines and in Thailand. I hold a Vermont Teaching License (Mathematics 7-12 endorsement) and a New Hampshire Teaching License (Mathematics 7-12 endorsement). In my undergraduate studies, I received a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree, specializing in Mathematics. I also hold a Master of Science in Education degree, Teaching Mathematics 9-12.
Since I was in college, I've been tutoring students who struggle in math and seek to increase their understanding of mathematical concepts. Just recently, I tutored a student from Burr and Burton Academy for two years from eighth grade math through Algebra 2. As a teacher, I understand the importance of showing and explaining the step-by-step process of each problem to my students. With years of experience in the field of teaching, I have enjoyed sharing my knowledge, talents and skills with my students. I have attended a variety of seminars and workshops that have helped me to be more resourceful and that have improved my teaching skills.
