Last year, I graduated at the top of my class at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont, with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Gender Studies. I have a love of learning, and I love to work one-on-one with students to help engage and teach, as well as learn from them. In addition to my academic work, I spent a year interning at Rock Point School, where I was given ample opportunity to converse with and supervise a wide variety of individuals and tasks. Moreover, I have spent the previous academic year working as a para-educator in the special education department at Essex High School in Essex Junction, Vermont. In this position, I worked with a diverse group of students, and I found this work to be extremely rewarding and innovative. I have a strong background and interest in counseling and psychology, as well as a focus in health. In addition, I am planning on continuing my education by applying to a psychiatric nurse practitioner program in the future. I am also very organized and have a strong interest in the fields of healthcare and human services. I am creative, empathetic, and energetic, caring, personable, and I would love the opportunity to use many different types of learning styles to best work with students. I love to read and I really enjoy helping students to learn and meet their educational goals.
