Hi! I have been a medical interpreter for the past 25 years in a hospital setting, and prior to this, taught English as a second language to Spanish speakers. I also taught Spanish to engineers and other people who wanted to learn quickly (for a world-renowned language school). I love to help people to learn and try to use creative ways to do so. With children, I play language games and make it fun for them. With adults, there are many creative ways to learn a language, and it's much more enjoyable if someone has enthusiasm.
I have always been an enthusiastic teacher and that is the reason for my successful career as an interpreter as well. I played the flute from the time I was 8 years old and was involved in many competitions over the years until I graduated from school. I also taught younger children when I was a high-school student. I was in All-State Band, Chorus and Orchestra the last year of school and was very involved in music throughout my entire life. My other instruments were piano, voice and saxophone for a time. I still enjoy singing and playing a little piano as well today.
