My job required me to teach several small groups of students the skills needed to pass the PALS test in the spring. My pass rate was 89% this year, the best in school history.

This instruction involves the use of songs, curved and straight boards, chalk board and chalk, and a wet sponge. It uses many manipulatives that increase hand-eye coordination and increases memorization of the skills.
The premise is all letters start at the top regardless of upper or lower case. There are main letters, such as C, that are used to teach other letters such as a, d, g, o, and q.
The skills are easily learned by children 4-10 years old.
