I'm an undergraduate of Virginia Tech with more than 90 credit hours towards my Bachelor's degree in traditional mathematics. I have been tutoring high school and college students in the northern Virginia area since 2010. Through WyzAnt alone, I have worked more than 160 hours in the past year. I am highly experienced and proficient in practically all fields of mathematics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, integral and derivative calculus, differential equations and discrete math.
I graduated from Maurice J. McDonough High School in 1999. During high school, I participated in the Charles County Math League, I achieved a solid "5" on my AP Calculus exam, and when I graduated, I received the math department award for our graduating class. Also in high school, I was a JROTC officer whose responsibility was to act as a mentor and tutor to kids that needed help.
I'm a proud math enthusiast and it's the best feeling to see someone light up in the moment where everything comes together for them. I am very patient with those I tutor and I will do everything possible to make a subject as basic and clear as possible. I have the tools and experience necessary to build a solid foundation for math skills that can be carried over to any higher level of math. With this foundation, math can quickly become your or your child's favorite or easiest class. Understanding and retaining math is necessary and crucial for future success, whether it is in school or life!
I have honest rates and your time in tutoring sessions will never be wasted. Over the past year, I have invested in several textbooks and study guides, which go towards the cost of tutoring. My goal with tutoring is to help those who are willing to receive help and enhance their lives, not to simply profit. If you need help and money is an issue, please communicate with me and I will work with you however possible.
Please send me a message if you have any questions or would be interested in my help. I am always willing to help those in need. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon!
College math courses I have taken include at Virginia Teach include: Calculus (with derivatives & integrals), Multivariable Calculus, Vector Calculus, Advanced Calculus, Vector Geometry, College Geometry, Elementary Linear Algebra, Linear Algebra, Modern Algebra, Introduction to Numerical Analysis I, Introduction to Proofs, Language and Logic, and Differential Equations.
