A very important part of my Bachelor and Master Degree programs in foreign languages and literatures was represented by the study of Italian and American cinema. I enjoyed immensely all these classes.
It was a real pleasure to discover the masterpieces of Visconti, Rossellini, De Sica, Zefirelli, Germi, and Fellini. I devoted 2 years of my career watching the masterpieces of the greatest Italian and American directors. We studied all the different aspects of the movies from many critical points of view. One of the main purposes of our study was to decode, interpret, and analyze all the metaphors, the symbols, and the references to other movies. We used a psychological and psychoanalytical criticism applied to the various layers of the artistic production. Among the American directors we studied were Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorcese, Woody Allen, and Stanley Kubrick. I wrote many essays about different movies and directors and attended all available workshops, stages, and lectures. I proudly earned the highest grades possible in this discipline. Of additional note, my Master Degree is recognized by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers (AACRAO).
Studying Musical History was a wonderful opportunity offered during my Bachelor and Master Degree courses. I was thrilled to learn all the history of music from the very early stages to our contemporary time. An essential part of our educational experience was living the music by going to concerts of symphonic orchestras, jazz performances, and postmodern productions. I learned about the poetical message existing as a base of inspiration for the musicians. The most fascinating part was to appreciate a musical piece trying to understand all the references to the literature, history, philosophy, and the visual arts of the time.
My favorite authors were the Romantic composers. I spent much time studying Chopen, Shubert, and Richard Strauss. I wrote a comprehensive essay on Strauss‘s waltz and the Romantic Age that was very appreciated by all my Professors. Furthermore, I finished this class with the highest grades possible and received commensurate awards. Finally and of additional overall note overall, my Master Degree is recognized by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers (AACRAO).
In my Bachelor and Master Degree programs, courses study included European, Asian, and American theater. I studied with great passion the most important European plays that took place in the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. I specialized in the Italian opera history with a special emphasis on the classic operas Cosi Fan Tutte, Le Mariage de Figaro, il Barbiere di Sivilla, and il Don Giovanni.
Additionally, I wrote several essays about Japanese theater, Indonesian dances, and classical Asian performances. I attended with huge interest many seminars, stages, workshops, lectures, filmed performances, and live shows. Going to operas, classical music concerts, and ballet represented a magnificent opportunity to learn and enjoy the beauty of theater and benefit from a full immersion in this magical world. Of additional note overall, my Master Degree is recognized by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers (AACRAO).
