Summer is just around the corner and I know some of you would like to get a head start for the up coming year. I am available Monday - Friday at your convenience. I believe working on the basics for the next grade over the summer gives children confidence going into their new classroom and allows for the opportunity for early success in school.

Last night I got to work with my 8th grade geometry student. I reviewed all of chapters 5 & 6 of her math book, worked all of the problems and made her flash cards to review before her test on Thursday. Again she was a rock star; she is so eager to learn and very excited to be getting the material for the first time all year. I already look forward to seeing her each week and get so excited to see her grasp new and increasingly complex material. Tonight was my first tutoring session with my new 8th grade student. She is very sweet and so smart! It amazes me sometimes that students with so much intelligence and potential can not receive the education they need and deserve from the public school system. Our first subject was Geometry and she picked it up so quickly. We are working on chapters 5 & 6 of her math book, going through her homework and reviewing the test she recently took...She is picking it right up.
