My teaching style generally is fluid and focuses on broad concepts first, then fundamentals. This provides you with a stronger foundation of knowledge as ideas become progressively more complex and less concrete. I believe practicing skills is important, but not the only way to reinforce retention; and learning pace must be determined by the student.
In other words,
1. I can explain ideas in a way that you will be able to understand easily.
2. I will break down complicated procedures into simple steps.
3. We will work together to make sure you are integrating the information before we move on to anything new.
I currently work as an internet marketer and analyst and high school substitute teacher. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry and a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Finance - both with honors. As a sideline to my living-making occupations, I have taught individuals and full classes in high school and college, tutored innumerable students in academic subjects, taught private and group lessons in piano and dance, trained employees in technical applications and procedures and even taught Sunday school for 12 years. I’m also certified in Google AdWords and as a Business Education teacher. I am an expert seamstress and decorator, passable jewelry designer, satisfactory carpenter, and quasi-dangerous electrician. So you can see, I like to do a lot of things.
No matter what my other work-related duties may be, I have found myself adopting the additional roles of teacher and trainer in every position I have held. Not being a teacher by original intent, I have - probably inevitably - come to the profession as a second career. Somewhere along the way, I realized how much I like to spread my own learning around and that I have a knack for making things understandable. I sincerely can help you with the subjects I have listed on my Subjects List on WyzAnt.
